Join Us in Building the Future of Home Robotics

At Sunday, we're developing personal robots to reclaim the hours lost to repetitive tasks. We're focused on an ambitious goal to make generalized robots broadly accessible, enabling households to take back quality time.

We have spent the last 18 months building a talented team, securing capital, and validating our technology. We are now seeking passionate individuals to join us in the next phase of our growth. If you are ready to apply your skills to the forefront of robotics innovation, we’d love to hear from you.

What to Expect

We are looking to hire a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to contribute to the development and manufacturing for our next-generation home robots and data collection systems. In this role, you will take early concepts from prototype into mass production. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly on central challenges in robotics while the product is still in its early development stages.

What You’ll Do

PROCESS

  • Plan, propose, and lead experiments to inform design, manufacturing, and supply chain decisions

  • Evaluate the suitability of fabrication technologies for specific part designs. Develop and execute validation testing, analyze data, and deliver actionable technical recommendations

  • Monitor development progress at supplier sites and serve as the escalation point for process-related challenges

NEW PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

  • Review part and assembly documentation to confirm compatibility with process capabilities

  • Lead process development and capability assessments with both suppliers and domestic manufacturing teams

  • Define and implement validation procedures for tooling and assemblies throughout product development phases

SUPPLIER EXECUTION

  • Review supplier tool designs, process flows, equipment selections, and DFM/DOE proposals. Identify gaps and define corrective actions to ensure design compliance

  • Partner with supplier engineering teams to outline process development plans, secure resources, and align schedules with program objectives

  • Evaluate supplier readiness for build events and production ramp-up, highlighting potential risks and recommending mitigation strategies

QUALITY PLANNING

  • Develop and maintain the Product Quality Plan (PQP)

  • Oversee all Quality Engineering activities for a program, coordinating efforts across suppliers and internal manufacturing teams

  • Establish and execute audit procedures tailored to the program and supplier, ensuring adherence to high quality standards

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering or equivalent relevant experience

  • Experience deploying, qualifying, and validating new processes in a prototype line and low volume line

  • Experience working with overseas CM on product development phases from prototype phase through mass production

  • Experience developing process quality plans, supplier quality audits, and driving corrective actions and failure analysis reports

  • Experience designing mechanical equipment, fixturing, and tooling in CAD (OnShape or SolidWorks preferred)

  • Proficiency in geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) and design of experiments

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to write and maintain SOPs for complex assemblies

  • Ability to travel internationally as needed, with a proficiency in Mandarin highly preferred

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent

At Sunday Robotics, we’re building technology shaped by real people — curious, creative, and diverse. We’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer and consider all qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.

Even if you don’t meet every single requirement, we encourage you to apply. Studies show that women and underrepresented groups often hold back unless they meet 100% of the criteria — we don’t want that to be the reason we miss out on great talent.
